this week in the farm store (July 19 and 20)

Basil is back and looking more beautiful than ever! This season, we’re growing our favorites: Genovese basil and lemon basil.

Pro tip: DON’T REFRIGERATE YOUR BASIL. Storing basil in your regular fridge may cause it to turn black prematurely. Instead, fill a jar or vase half-way or so with water and put the basil stems-down in the water. Make sure no leaves are in the water or they will turn dark and slimy. Think of it like a basil bouquet!
